Down The Lane: An unpredictable and action-packed series By: Paul Lafferty

Paul “ Doc ” Lafferty is a full-time writer and a high school teacher. He is a former bouncer, DJ, and bodyguard in the strip clubs in Canada. And he is the seventh featured author of The Writers Lift!

Paul was born on Staten Island in New York but he grew up in Canada with his parents and siblings. He graduated with a degree in political science from Brock University in 1995. Received a master’s degree in education when he returned to school in 2014 and decided to be a high-school teacher and a writer up to now.

His favorite line:  “ Nothing is true, everything is permitted. ”

But Paul is not just your regular teacher in school, neither a writer with a simple story to tell. He started to work for several jobs that are far from his current line of work. For more than 20 years he became a bouncer, DJ, and a bodyguard in the strip clubs in the honeymoon capital of the world, at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

Inspired by most of these experiences, Paul wrote his first Fiction book, Down The Lane.

“ What happens when your best friend from grade school takes over the biggest biker gang in Canada? Follow Doc, as he attempts to avoid the mayhem and violence his old friend brings to Niagara when he joins the Royal City Riders. Getting out is never easy…”  – Paul Lafferty

His second book Down The Lane: Brantford

Doc was forced to retire by the Royal City Riders and was blackmailed to be the frontman of the strip club in Brantford. While his old friend was promoted to a higher rank for the Royal City Riders, violence arises throughout the province. Discover how Doc handled each obstacle and how a secret from the past could destroy everything.
